For the second year in a row, Swiss companies are in a positive mood, with 92% affirming that their current business situation is positive. On the whole, forecasts of the sales trend also remain confident, according to the Company Barometer produced by consulting and advisory firm EY.
The life sciences sector is particularly optimistic in this regard. Things look more difficult for construction and energy. SMEs in several sectors have voiced complaints about increasing regulatory complexity. “Although we are in the era of automation and digitalisation, a reduction in red tape will continue to be one of the chief concerns of SMEs in future”, says Heinrich Christen, Managing Partner Regions, EY Switzerland.
